Jimbaran is a fishing village and lies on the ‘neck’ of the southern peninsula Bali, south of Ngurah Rai International Airport, the beach has the best seafood restaurants and the best daily fish market.
The bay offers a white sand beach and is very safe for swimming so a good option for families. You will find loads of local children playing in the sea in the evening which is a sure sign that the beach is safe.
The grilled seafood restaurants on the beach are a highlight to anyone who enjoys a great view and exceptional seafood spreads. Arrive at about 5, order your food and drinks and enjoy your meal while watching the most stunning sunsets over the sea that you could ever imagine.
Jimbaran has an increasing number of rather chic and antique shops but there is little or no nightlife here. It has the advantage of being a little closer to Kuta and Seminyak and the cultural highlights of Central Bali. Just take a stroll through the streets and enjoy the small shops and friendly vibe of this area.
